Choosing a schedule for the monitoring plan

A schedule defines a block of time for which a set of monitoring rules is active for a resource. When you add a monitoring plan to a resource, you specify the schedule to indicate when the monitoring plan will be active.
OpenEdge Management provides several predefined schedules. You can use the schedules as they are, or you can modify them to suit your operating needs. You can also use an existing schedule as the basis for a new schedule, changing its name and characteristics.
Note: The schedules discussed in this section refer to schedules you associate with resource monitors. Schedules that define frequency of an activity are associated with jobs, job templates, reports, and report templates. For specific information about job schedules, see CreatingJobs and Job Templates. For specific information about report schedules, see the relevant sections in OpenEdge Management: Reporting.
Each schedule you create, along with the OpenEdge Management-provided schedules, appears under Library > View > Schedules.
