This chapter explains what a monitoring process is and how Business Process Server handles it. A monitored process in the Business Process Sever is a process that includes an external workstep (monitored workstep) containing a CHARACTER dataslot specified as the External Instance ID (EIID), and has all dataslots associated with external worksteps as editable.
