You can use any text editor to create a file containing startup parameters. Follow the format explained in Parameterfile format. You can also use OpenEdge tools to create and edit parameter files.
To create and edit parameter files:
1. Access the Data Administration tool or Data Dictionary.
2. Choose Utilities > Editor for Parameter Files
OpenEdge prompts you for the file you want to create or edit.
3. Specify the filename.
OpenEdge alphabetically lists all available startup parameters.
4. Specify which of the parameters you want in the file by choosing the parameter and entering yes, no, or the appropriate value.
5. Enter any comments you want to include in the parameter file.
6. After creating the parameter file, OpenEdge returns you to the Data Administration or Data Dictionary main window.
