The ClientASK protocol can be used only for stateless and state-free operating modes of the AppServer. When operating in stateless and state-free modes, the client performs the ClientASK duties, since the client process remains connected to the AppServer in these modes.

For the state-free operating mode, the ClientASK protocol is established independently on each connection in the connection pool.
