The Schema Tool provides information and statistics about your data that you can use to modify your schema maps. Column information and statistics are affected by the Schema Tool's configuration (see About Column Information and Statistics for details). The following steps demonstrate how you can access information and statistics.
1. To view database and table information, select the database you want to investigate from the left panel in the main display.
Available database and table information is displayed in the panel to the right. In addition to other information, table names and whether they are visible in your relational schema are provided.
2. To view table and column information, select the table you want to investigate.
Available information is displayed in the panel to the right, including the position of the column, the column data type, and (if applicable) column parameters.
Note: The Column Information pane is interactive. From this pane, in the main display, you can add columns, rename columns, change a column's data type, change data type parameters, and change the order in which columns appear in a table. See Defining Columns for details.
3. For column statistics, select a column in either the right or left panel.
