If your application was built with 64-bit system libraries, you must use the 64-bit driver. If your application was built with 32-bit system libraries, you must use the 32-bit driver (see 32-bit driver Windows system requirements). Requirements for a 64-bit application that will use the ODBC driver include:
It must be compatible with components that were built using Microsoft C/C++ Optimizing Compiler Version 14.00.40310.41 and the standard Windows 64 threading model.
ODBC header files must be used to compile your application. For example, Microsoft Visual Studio includes these files.
