After Image extents

You cannot mark an AI extent as empty until Fathom Replication has finished processing it. RFUTIL can be used to mark an extent as empty, but it must consider the extent FULL first. You can use the RFUTIL AIMAGE LIST function to determine the state of your AI extent. This function returns one of the following four possible values:

EMPTY — The extent is empty.
BUSY — The extent is currently in use.
LOCKED — The extent is full, but it has not been replicated by Fathom Replication.
FULL — The extent is full and has been replicated in its entirety by Fathom Replication.

If an AI extent has a LOCKED status, the RFUTIL AIMAGE FULL function will not consider the extent full, as it only considers AI extents that have been completely replicated as full.

If an AI extent has a FULL status, an AI extent can be marked empty with the RFUTIL AIMAGE EMPTY function.

Note: When you add new AI extents, they are added to the end of the extent list by default. However, you might need to place new empty extents after the current BUSY extent, since the next existing extent might be LOCKED and unwritable. You can use the PROSTRUCT REORDER AI command to reposition new extents in the extent list.
