Add/Edit OpenEdge Explorer connections page

By default, an OpenEdge Explorer Connection profile is created when a new workspace is launched. You can manually edit the connection or create a new connection from the Add/Edit OpenEdge Explorer connections page.

From the main menu bar of Progress Developer Studio for OpenEdge, select Window > Preferences > Progress OpenEdge > Server > OpenEdge Explorer Connections to access the main preference page. Click Add or Edit to start the Connection Profile page, which contains the following options:

Option Description
Connection name Specify a unique connection name. The name for the default connection is Explorer 1.
Host name/ IP address Specify local or remote host name or IP address
Port Specify the OpenEdge Explorer port number. The default is 9090
User name Specify a user name. The default is admin.
Password Specify a password. The default is admin. However, you will need to update this after you start OpenEdge Explorer for the first time.
OpenEdge Explorer URL Shows the URL that you can enter in a browser to access OpenEdge Explorer.
Use secure connection Select to use a secure HTTPS connection instead of the default HTTP connection.
