Be sure that you have set up the SampleApp project, created the database, and started the database server as described in Setting Up the Sample Application Project .
Start Progress Developer Studio for OpenEdge in the workspace that contains the SampleApp project.
Verify that the SampleApp project runtime has started and is connected to the sports2000 server. (The Console view in the OpenEdge Editor perspective displays messages about project and database startup.)
Open the OpenEdge Visual Designer perspective. The easiest way to open the OpenEdge Visual Designer perspective is to choose the
icon from the tool bar and select OpenEdge Visual Designer from the menu.
