Using the SHOWCFG utility in Windows
The SHOWCFG utility displays product installation and configuration information for each OpenEdge product installed on your system. The following table describes the different ways to run the SHOWCFG utility.

Double-click the Config icon

Type the showcfg command
The SHOWCFG utility opens the OpenEdge Configuration Information dialog box to display the product configuration information stored in the OpenEdge configuration file progress.cfg. This file is created and modified during product installation.
The following figure shows a typical display of the OpenEdge Configuration Information dialog box.
