Typical TCP/IP configuration with a hard disk on each machine
The following figure shows the configuration for a typical network when there is a hard disk on each machine and no file server is used.

When you use this configuration, you must install OpenEdge on each machine in the network. In The following figure, the client machines do not have to be running the same operating system.
