Uninstall any existing OpenEdge or Progress product that is installed on client machines to which you will be installing. See UninstallingOpenEdge in Windows.

Review the OpenEdge installation tasks. See OpenEdgeInstallation Prerequisites and Installationoverview.

Determine the destination location of your OpenEdge installation on the network. You will be prompted to enter this information during the network installation, and when you use the NetSetup utility to install the connecting clients.
