Otherwise known as a user ID, the validated user account name that is unique to an individual. User identity names can be non-qualified or fully qualified. Non qualified names include only the user account name as stored in its user account system. Fully-qualified user identities include the user account name and the name of the [security] domain in which to perform authentication. Normally, domains are delimited from the user account name by a single character: OpenEdge uses the '@' as a domain delimiter.
