Testing printers
To see if your printer is configured correctly, create a test file. On the first line of the test file, enter the digits 0 through 9, repeating them as necessary to fill the line. On the second line of the test file, enter double-byte characters exclusively. After making sure that your printer is not set to draft mode, condensed mode, or proportional font mode, print the test file, either from the Windows character interface or from OpenEdge. On the printed version of the test file you should see two single-byte characters above each double-byte character. If you do not see this, the printer is not configured correctly.
