The DataServer for MS SQL Server supports the same functionality as the DataServer for ODBC. Therefore, you do not have to change your application. However, if you used any reference to
DBTYPE as ODBC, you will have to change these to MS SQL Server.
Determine your application needs and goals before changing
INTEGER data types to
INT64 data types in applications. Not all
INTEGER data types will necessarily require the additional bit size, nor will wholesale changes in data types necessarily work efficiently with other interfaces to ABL. To review additional considerations about determining when to use
