The OpenEdge AppServer has at least 3 processes - OpenEdge client, OpenEdge AppServer and AppServer agent. Both the OpenEdge AppServer and the Progress AppServer can run in self-service mode. The Progress AppServer can only run in self-service mode. The following section describes how to set up a client configuration to a self-service AppServer where the AppServer is either the OpenEdge Appserver or the Progress Appserver.
