Several tuning parameters for OpenEdge databases with an Enterprise license are available to improve performance of prefetch queries in large scale deployments. A prefetch query is a NO-LOCK query against a database being accessed across a network. Prefetch queries often return a large number of records. Tuning parameters to improve the performance of these queries is discussed in the following sections:
