Managing users : Configuring user management : Using the LDAP hybrid realm

Using the LDAP hybrid realm

In LDAP hybrid realm users are stored and authenticated using the LDAP realm whereas groups are created and stored in the database. Therefore, you cannot perform user management operations on the LDAP users. However, you can perform the group management operations on all groups. In an LDAP hybrid realm, a group can consist of an LDAP user, a database group or a combination of these two. If you must configure the LDAP realm of your LDAP hybrid realm, then refer to the LDAPrealm configuration.
Note: If you choose the LDAP hybrid Realm, then the option of adding and removing users does not appear in the interface.
