Plans, Users, and Roles

To access the Console, you must have a console user account. You must set up a console user account and purchase a license for any of the products accessible from the console.

Each user is assigned one or more roles. A role defines access rights to features and functionality in the Console. For example, a Plan Administrator role enables the user to add other users and view invoices, while a Billing Administrator user can only view invoices.

Each user is associated with a plan. For example, in DataDirect Cloud, the plan determines which data sources the user can access.
