.log file — Displays all the log entries for the Developer Studio. It includes all the log entries in the various feature-specific log files.
Log4j.properties file — Displays the log settings for each logger. Each workspace has its own log4j.properties file. If you edit the properties for a specific logger, it changes the logging in the feature-specific log file and not the .log file. You must restart the workspace after editing the file.
