OpenEdge 11.6.3 New Information : OpenEdge Management

OpenEdge Management

Release 11.6.3 of OpenEdge Management includes the following:
*New parameter to obtain process data — OpenEdge Management provides a new parameter fathom.wmic.retrycount to obtain data for a process that is being monitored.
When you run a WMIC query to obtain data for a process, the query might return incomplete results or empty data. In such cases, you can use the fathom.wmic.retrycount parameter to rerun the query multiple times until you obtain the required data.
Set a valid INT value for the parameter in the fathom.int.params file. The value is the number of times the query will run to obtain data. For example, if the value is set as 4, the query will run 4 times. However, if a value is not set, the query will run 3 times, by default, to obtain data.
*Support for deploying ZIP files for REST transport services — OpenEdge Management allows you to select ZIP files and deploy them as REST application service files on the PAS for OpenEdge instance.
You can export the ZIP files that have an incremental Web services descriptor from Progress Developer Studio for OpenEdge, and deploy them as REST application service files on the PAS for OpenEdge instance.
In earlier releases, OpenEdge Management accepted only .paar files for deploying REST transport services.
For more information about PAS for OpenEdge transport services, see OpenEdge Management: Progress Application Server for OpenEdge Configuration.
