Accessing Data in Microsoft Excel on macOS

After you have configured your data source, you can use the driver to access your data with Microsoft Excel on macOS platforms. Using the driver with Excel provides improved performance when retrieving data, while leveraging the driver's relational-mapping tools.
To use the driver to access data with Excel from the Query Wizard:
1. Open your workbook in Excel.
2. From the Data menu, select New Database Query>From Database.
3. The iODBC Data Source Chooser window appears.

Select your data source from the list. For example, Oracle Wire Protocol. Click OK.
4. A logon dialog appears. Enter your username and password. Click OK to proceed.
5. The Microsoft Query window appears. In the left pane is a list of tables available on the host server.

Choose the data you want to import into your workbook:
*To import a table, select the table's name in the left pane. A preview of the table is displayed in the lower-right pane. Click the Return Data button to proceed.
*To import data using queries, enter your query in the upper-right pane. Click the Run button to view the results of your query in the lower-right pane. Click the Return Data button to proceed.
6. The Import Data window appears.

Select the insertion point for your data. Click OK.
