Stopping the SQL Engine Server on UNIX/Linux
To stop the SQL engine server, choose one of the following:
*Using an application, execute SHUTDOWN SQL.
*From a command line, press Ctrl + C.
If successful, a message is returned to confirm that the service has stopped.
