The installation program is available as a Java installer and a Windows installer.
Java installer
A Java SE 6 or higher JVM is required. The JVM must be defined on your path to use the installer. The Java installer can be used to install the program on non-Windows platforms, but it may be run on Windows systems as well. If running the Java installer on Windows, you must either select a non-system directory as the installation directory or turn off User Account Controls.
Windows installer
The Windows installer can be run on any supported Windows platform. The Windows installer allows you to install the driver in the Program Files system directory on Windows without turning off User Account Controls.
