Extracting schema files for cloud data sources

In addition to providing connectivity to relational databases, Hybrid Data Pipeline offers connectivity to data stores that are based on web services that expose an object model. When creating a data source on a web service data store such as Salesforce, Hybrid Data Pipeline generates map files that expose objects and fields as tables and columns. These map files can be used to better understand native metadata and resolve issues in a given application environment. The Data Sources API can be used to obtain these map files. With the Administrator (12) permission, or the MgmtAPI (11) and ViewDataSource (2) permissions, a user can execute a GET request with the following end points to obtain the map files.
Users can execute a GET operation on the following Hybrid Data Pipeline endpoints to obtain the files involved in the relational mapping of the object model:
Note: These endpoints are valid only for non-relational data sources.
Note: To use these endpoints, the user must have the MgmtAPI (11) permission and ViewDataSource (2) permission on the applicable data source.
When executing a GET opertaion on the /export/driverfiles endpoint, the response file is streamed to the users, who can download all the artifacts as a zip file. When executing a GET operation on the /export/driverfiles/config and /export/driverfiles/native endpoints, the entire file is returned as an XML response. The exported files contain the files generated by the Hybrid Data Pipeline connectivity service that describe the objects exposed by the data store and can be useful to help troubleshoot issues. Customers can review the information contained in the file before they share it with with Hybrid Data Pipeline Technical Support, for the purpose of troubleshooting.
