Log Files Created During Installation

If you encounter problems during installation, check the log files. During installation, the installer creates the following log files:
*If the installer successfully creates the product installation directory, the installer writes a log file in the product installation install\logs folder. Examine the log file for a record of any problems that may have occurred during the installation. The installation log file name is one of the following:
*Progress_DataDirect_Cloud_for_ODBC_Install.log (Windows, Linux, and UNIX installations)
*Progress_DataDirect_Cloud_for_ODBC_InstallLog.log (Silent installations)
*The installer records standard errors and standard output generated during installation to D2C_ODBC_install_console.log, which is created in the user profile directory (Windows systems only).
If the installation fails completely, the installer does not create the installation directory and writes file named Progress_DataDirect_Cloud_for_ODBC__InstallFailed.txt (Progress_DataDirect_Cloud_for_ODBC_SilentInstallFailed.txt for silent installs) in the machine’s default temporary directory (for example, on Windows systems, %TEMP%).
If you need help interpreting the contents of these files, contact Progress DataDirect technical support.
