Supported operations

DataDirect Cloud supports the following operations for tables and objects defined in an OData schema model:
*Fetch
*Insert (create)
*Delete
*Update entities
*Read-write or read-only OData feed
*HTTP compression
*Text search for all data store types and full text search using underlying indices for DB2, Oracle, and MS SQL Server.
Watch a video to see how to use the Progress DataDirect Cloud OData API to perform CRUD operations.

Supported OData Entity Data Model (EDM) types

To support communication between an OData client and a backend data store, DataDirect Cloud uses a schema map to convert data to the appropriate type for the receiver. You configure the schema map in the DataDirect Cloud dashboard and DataDirect Cloud generates it as a JSON string, using the following OData Entity Data Model (EDM) types.
